1-D Kinematics Test
- Logistics (e.g. what gold people do while blue
people take the test)
- 5 assignments next week (one each day). 1
test and 4 other assignments. No assignment on the day before your
test.
- Blue test on Tuesday, Gold/Remote test on
Thursday
- What's on the test (topics, format, and length):
42 points total
- 16 multiple choice / short answer -- 1 point each
- 1 unit conversion -- 2 points
- 4 Problems -- 4 points each
- Extended Problem -- 5 parts, worth 2 points each
- Bonus (optional) -- one point if correct
- 1.3 points (3%) for opting out of the formula sheet.
- The honor pledge.
- At first I was only going to have remote
students write and sign this pledge, but I think it would be best if
everyone wrote and signed it... "On my honor, I have neither given
nor received any aid on this exam. -- [your signature]"
- What constitutes "aid on this exam?"
- Tentative test expectations for remote students (let me know
if this won't work for you)
- Take the test at the same time as the Gold
students.
- Sign in to Zoom and keep a camera on you while
you take the test.
- Scan/photograph your test and email it to me or
turn it in to Google Classroom. -- Which would be easiest?
